Bios of Officers of CCAC
Sharon Ziegemeier-President
Sharon Ziegemeier had a stroke on New Years Day and is on the road to recovery. Although she is doing well, she has resigned her from C.C.A.C. so that she can focus on her recovery. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Pat Schulze: Vice-President/Acting President

My name is Pat and I have been a resident of Warren County for the last 22 years. I decided to get involved with CCAC because Warren County needs a shelter and it isn’t going to happen on its own. Pets have been a big part of the family since I was a toddler. And St. Francis, the Patron Saint of Animals, makes sure my home is never without. I look forward to serving CCAC as Vice-President.

Margaret Ramey: Treasurer

I feel like I am the luckiest person to be able to work with animals on daily basis. I have been working for 22 years at our local vets office. This is the perfect solution for me, because our vets take in strays and help many people in need. I am very comforted by their generous actions towards animals and happy to be part of that. Living in a rural area without an animal shelter we are in dire need to help the many animals that are homeless. Serving as an officer of CCAC I feel I can benefit the organization with my knowledge and dedication to help complete our goal.

Nancy Young: Recording Secretary

My love of animals began so long ago I can hardly remember exactly when. As a young child I was always bringing stray dogs home. From my parent’s general store, I carried (Strong heart) dog food home by the arm load (then 10 cents a can.) Into my adult life I have adopted several dogs from shelters or rescue groups. My latest being Tux, a lab-mix, who I adopted at 7 weeks. He will be 13 years old soon. Through working with CCAC I hope to bring happiness to worthy families and in turn give a homeless dog or cat a forever home.

Phyliss Marchesi: Corresponding Secretary

I am one of those people that I’m referred to as a cat lady (you’ll see I have 14 of my own.) That phrase has gotten a bad rap for, as I’m concerned. My love for cats goes back many years. They say that there are dog people and cat people. I am a lover of both and own both. But, my kitties are so special that when my husband and I built our new home my kitties had their own home built attached to our home. Yes, they have their own home and they live in a real life situation. (Meaning, my kitties do not live in cages.) They are rescued kitties and my love and dedication will always be there for them. Our community needs to have an animal shelter and that’s the reason I became an officer of CCAC.
